06/ 30/ 05 CowParade City Fest in Bratislava!

On Wednesday, 15th of June, the long expected City Fest has taken place in Bratislava – music, fun and good atmosphere. All was meant to start at 4pm on Hviezdoslavovo square at the children’s stage, but the good old Murphy has surprised us all again, as he’s given us a pretty little storm 5 minutes before start.

We didn’t give up nad we’ve started at 5pm together with „Kakaovnici“, who’ve attracted a big audience. They’ve prepared interesting performances, games with children and a „cow dance“ from the dance group from Elementary School Mudroňova. Kakaovnici were followed by theater A.HA with a very interesting play „Hra na fľašku (Bottle play), or play with us.“ Everyone laughed, had fun, the children were excited and the atmospere was joined by a big amount of T-Mobile baloons. The visitors could create their own CowParade badge.

The program followed on Main square, where Požoň sentimental began to play at 5pm. They were followed by Hex and further on by Laco Lučenič with his ban Satisfactory. Laco’s band played the best hits of the 60’s. There were many excited fans and tourists here as well, some even relaxed and danced with joy to the great music. While walking through the old town, the jazz, rock and blues lovers could stop by at the stages at Michalska and Venturska streets.

Of course our new Bratislava citizens – the CowParade cows – were not missing and everyone could finally enjoy them in all their beauty. People stopped by the Inspirative cow, „Jazdkyňa“ (Girl Rider), „Božská krava“ (Holy cow), the Plane cow, „Čachtická“, „Ta-krava-ta“ (Tie cow), „Altamíra“... and surely by all the others as well! While walking through the streets of the old tow, we saw happy children, tourists taking picture with out cows and concert viewers, who used them as seets. We were pleased by the overwhelming reaction from the citizens and visitors of Bratislava and believe that you will grant us with your interest till the end of the project, when the cows will go to auction and finally will be able to help handicapped children, who need it so much.
